The portal system of the liver in children is a dynamically developing vascular network, whose morphology and topography undergo age-related and individual variations. Modern anatomical studies show increasing interest in the use of digital technologies that enable more precise, reproducible, and visually clear analysis of vascular structures. The integration of digital medicine methods — multislice computed tomography (MSCT), three-dimensional angiographic reconstruction, and specialized morphometric software — opens new opportunities for studying the age-related anatomy of the portal system in children.
